PowerWedge® Decoders

The PowerWedge® decoder line offers many features and benefits, including a smaller footprint, optimized performance, added symbologies, improved trigger modes, and backward compatibility with all current decoder cables and settings. A cloning feature enables the user to program multiple units in seconds from a single master unit.

PowerWedge 20
For the most demanding applications, the PowerWedge 20 is a universal decoder, which can be used as either a keyboard wedge or a serial wedge decoder. Over 300 computers and terminals interface with the PowerWedge 20; in addition, an external serial device such as a scale may be connected using an auxiliary serial connector located on the back of the unit.

The PowerWedge 20 features input editing for data formatting and redirection, host controlled indicators, and serial baud rates up to 57.6K. The PowerWedge 20 supports 16 bar code symbologies and is fully programmable using on-screen menus, a bar code menu, bar code batch labels, serial batch files, or cloning. A PowerWedge 20 dual model is also available, allowing users to connect their choice of up to two input devices and one magnetic stripe reader at one time.

PowerWedge 10
Designed to meet basic decoding needs, the PowerWedge 10 decoder is available in keyboard wedge and serial versions. It is programmed using either a bar code menu, bar code batch labels, serial batch programming, cloning, or on-screen menus. It discriminates among 16 different symbologies and provides two-track magnetic stripe support. Keyboard interfaces include IBM PC/AT/XT, PS/2, Macintosh, and selected terminals.

PowerWedge Mini
Designed to meet the tightest space requirements, the Mini PowerWedge measures 2.75 inches wide by 3.25 inches long by 0.75 inches high and weighs 2.3 ounces. It is a keyboard wedge decoder featuring a single 9-pin squeeze-style connector and a 25-pin interface connector that supports a variety of popular interfaces including IBM PC/AT/XT, PS/2, and Macintosh computers as well as many terminals.

Users can quickly and easily program the Mini PowerWedge using their choice of programming method: bar code batch, bar code menu, on-screen menu, or cloning. The Mini PowerWedge discriminates among 16 different symbologies and provides bar code input support for wands, 5-volt lasers, CCDs, and ID badge readers.
